Quest for Vision is an illustrated diary of a fictional young man as he embarks on a solitary journey to become a shaman. Synthesizing first-hand accounts of the apprenticeships of Mexican Yaqui and Huichol shamans, Western neo-shamans and extensive scientific psychological, sociological, and anthropological analysis, Quest for Vision illuminates the experiential reality of the shamanic journey and the various periods of growth it encompasses, including but not limited to the protagonist’s interactions with spirits and his gaining the mythical ability to heal others.
