Pear A girl exposes her pear shaped form, synonymous with the shape of a teardrop. She is vulnerable and soft as she falls on the page. The shape of the pear and teardrop represents this woman’s self consciousness around her body.

Star Woven into the seams of this quilt is a star pattern, representing a cootie catcher for kids, or a blanket seen at an old farmstead. A friendship takes place within the inner weavings of the star pattern as darker forces are kept out by its sharp edges.

Spiral The spiral represents the vastness of the universe and the ocean. A hermit crab is shown to depict the spiral as his shell. The hermit crab must change where it lives as it grows, and loses its home often to human intervention.

Ring The ring depicts a never ending struggle between life and death, how the fight for life is cyclical. Depicted are two fighters in a wrestling ring battling a snake to show this struggle.

Vase The vase incorporates spirituality from mythology into the concept of the body being a vessel from which our spirit can then be transported into the afterlife after we die. Traditional flowers that symbolize death and funerals shine bright above the cycle of life and death inside the vase.

Egg The egg is depicted as a womb and the significance behind what the fragility of an egg can mean, pregnancy and womanhood can be dangerous yet beautiful as well. Two hands gently cradle the egg shaped womb.
