“Selves” is a collection of self-portraits that are all based off of the same reference photo. This collection was a practice in seeing how far I could push the visual connection to my reference photo, and a reflection of how our sense of self changes moment to moment. To portray that feeling of constant change, I didn’t restrict myself to any one media, size, or content. I’ve presented my portraits as Polaroids on a table to create a feeling of nostalgia, looking back on previous selves. Creating “Selves” was a great experience of self-reflection, and of media experimentation.
