American white pelicans are often thought of as greedy by large fisheries. However, overfishing in their habitat has caused them to broaden their search for food. What if the pelicans sought revenge?

There is no shortage of gulls, however there is a shortage of their natural food sources. Their diet has become victim to overfishing and their habitats lost to coastal development, leaving them to run rampant and scavenge the food we leave lying around instead.

Perhaps only widely known for their “cheeseburger” call, or their iconic “chickadee-dee-dee”, black-capped chickadees also possess an incredible barcode-like memory that allows them to remember the locations of thousands of seeds they have buried. A memory so great is rather unexpected in a bird so small.

Ravens are most widely associated with death and bad omens. But they are, more importantly, extremely intelligent. With the intelligence of a roughly 7-year-old child, they have excellent memories, can problem solve, use tools, and even plan for the future.
