Daniel Arsham uses corrupted sculpture to show the damages through passage of time, where I
referred from his works and created a painting demonstrates the broken memories and relations through out the passage of time. I experimented with different medias and collage elements to represent the chaos of the corrupted scene and figure.
The overall painting was based from my childhood memories when I was living in China as a kid, showing how this part of memories is breaking down after so many years. I painted a white border around the canvas, to form my painting into a Polaroid film view, this indicates how the past memory is captured inside. The red and moody colour palette used in this painting represents the sand storm I experienced in the past, and the huge red sun brings a sci-fi element to it, which again shows the twisted memory.
